Micro-loan Program

Providing micro-loans in the amount of $200 - $500 to families in the central plateau region of Haiti is the main focus of Real Hope Program. In a country where 41% of adults are unemployed, and 59% of individuals live in poverty, small businesses are one of the only ways for individuals to provide basic needs for their families.

Access to business capital

Business capital is provided to individuals struggling with poverty in the central plateau region of Haiti through loans in the amount of $200 - $500. Individuals have six months to repay the loans, only paying modest interest. Interest paid is set aside in a savings account to later be returned to the individual if they meet program guidelines

Vertical Growth

Micro-loans provide the opportunity for Haitian families to start or grow their business vertically. Likewise, growing relationships vertically with God through prayer, time reading the bible, and growing our faith is a fundamental focus of Real Hope Program.

Horizontal Growth - Others Focused

Growing one's personal talents, such as painting, is a way for someone to provide income for their family. Growing the circle of business and person advisers around you is an investment in your growth. It is said that the 5 people with whom you spend the most time, will influence your purpose and passions. That is true professionally and spiritually. RHP will help individuals discern who they allow to influence their lives.

Create & Cultivate

In Genesis God modeled how to create and cultivate. Micro-loan recipients are educated in principles such as marketing and capital need planning. Half of the interest collected from loans will be returned to the business owner as a capital fund upon successfully completing six loan cycles and regularly attending training sessions. Agricultural cultivation such as raising a pig or chickens is one of the common business opportunities made possible by a micro-loan.

Tools for growth

Have you ever been between jobs and felt the pressure of not knowing from where your next paycheck is going to come? That is a daily reality for many Haitians. Real Hope Program's goal is to provide entrepreneurial and spiritual tools such as accounting ledgers and a Haitian Bible.
